The Capital One Cup final is halfway over, with Swansea City leading 2-0 against Bradford City. Swansea started the match lively and earned a few early corners while Bradford sat back and defended. Swansea slowly started to dominate the game, and they got their first big chance in the fourteenth minute when Swansea left-back Ben Davies latched on to a cross and his effort went inches wide of the post. Just seconds later Swansea went up though, when Michu got the ball off a Swansea counter attack and his shot was brilliantly parried by Bradford goalkeeper Matt Duke. But he couldn’t parry the ball hard enough, and Swansea’s Nathan Dyer found ran onto it at the far post, and slammed it into the back of the net to give Swansea a 1-0 lead.
Swansea started to completely dominate the match, and got a second goal in the fortieth minute when Michu received a through ball from Pablo. He turned with the ball and beautifully curled a shot through the legs of his marker and into the far side of the net. After his goal Swansea started to dictate possession and made Bradford chase the ball for the rest of the first half, which ended 2-0 after a minute of added time. The second half is sure to be exciting, so look out for my full time review, right here on Football Every Day!
