Mancini claims he is the ‘best manager in England’

Manchester City manager has claimed he is currently “the best manager in England”, and said that no one as done as much as him in England over the last fifteen months, despite the fact that City lay twelve points behind rivals Manchester United in the English Premier League table.

“In the last fifteen months I am the best manager in England.” Mancini told the BBC this morning. “Someone says for six months that Manchester City would change manager, (Pep) Guardiola would come in, and after Guardiola went to Bayern Munich, now another manager.

“I won one Premier League, one FA Cup, one Charity Shield, their is not another manager that’s won like me in the last fifteen months.”

Mancini became Manchester City’s manager in December 2009, taking over for Mark Hughes. But this year he has been criticized, after crashing out of the Champions League, and falling twelve points behind Manchester United in the Premier League table.
